We provide structured debt and debenture opportunities designed to bridge the gap between eligible capital providers and rigorously vetted real estate projects. Our robust framework ensures compliance with all applicable securities laws and regulations.
A Debenture is a long-term debt instrument issued by a company to raise funds from investors. It represents a loan you give to the company, and in return, the company pays you interest and returns your money at maturity.
Debentures can be classified in different ways:
Cannot be converted into equity shares.
Partly convertible into equity shares.
Issued in foreign currency or fully convertible.
(usually paid half-yearly or annually)
(usually 3 to 10 years or more)
(e.g. ₹1,000 per debenture)
(can be listed and traded in stock exchange)
(usually higher than equity shareholders)
Both are debt instruments, but there are differences:
| Bonds | Debentures |
|---|---|
| Issued by Govt. or Corporates | Issued by Corporates (mainly) |
| Often listed & widely traded | May or may not be listed |
| Usually secured | Can be secured or unsecured |
| Typically lower risk | Higher risk (if unsecured) |
| Faster liquidity | May have lower liquidity |
Two different ways to support a company.
| Debenture | Equity |
|---|---|
| Lending (Debt) | Ownership (Shareholder) |
| Fixed Interest | Variable Dividend |
| No Voting Rights | Voting Rights |
| Lower Risk | Higher Risk |
| Fixed Return | Higher Potential Return |
Can be converted into equity shares at a future date.
Cannot be converted into equity shares.
